Spring is here and so is the season of numerous events. Weddings, outdoor birthday parties but also business events like summer parties or rooftop after works are waiting for us. Since the suit is the classic and often safe choice, the question will quickly arise which shoes are best to combine with it. Here are our tips and styling ideas.
Of course, in principle, you can combine all our shoes with the suit, yet there are some models that are particularly well suited.
The Oxford
The Oxford is the classic suit shoe that you absolutely can’t go wrong with. A black suit with an Oxford in black calf is a great option. However, the Oxford is also an ideal shoe to wear with a suit in black patent for very formal occasions.
The Adelaide
A fairly new model in our spring/summer collection, the Adelaide is a variation of the Oxford with added brogue details. This makes the shoe a little less formal than the Oxford. We like to pair it with a dark blue suit and black socks.
The Opera Pump
Perhaps not the shoe to wear with a suit but since the black tie season is here we added this style as well. This is the most elegant shoe to wear with black and white tie. The Opera Pump is a slipper crafted with a bow in the front and available both in black patent and black satin.
The Double Monkstrap
Especially in the office we like to wear the Double Monkstrap with a suit. A black Double Monkstrap combined with a dark blue suit and turtleneck sweater is an elegant business look.
The Penny Loafer
Last, but not least, is The Penny loafer. We also like to combine it with a suit. Our model Jonathan wears the Penny Loafer in brown suede here, for example, with a dark blue suit and a light blue and white striped shirt. A great, slightly less formal look. But the black Penny Loafer also looks great with a lighter suit like Luca Rubinacci styles it.
